Wildlife
CAMBODIA
I was invited to do a joint exhibition with 6 other painters for The Wildlife Alliance. It was called ‘Call of the Cardamons’.
Before the exhibition we helicoptered into the wilds of the mountains and visited a remote hospital camp where injured wildlife could recover from traps and injuries caused by the poachers.
Here we saw Pangolin, Binturong, Sun Bears, Samba Deer, Great Hornbills, Vultures…Wildlife is a fabulous subject to paint. Studying these gorgeous animals opened my eyes as to their intense beauty and their plight.
St Kitts
The highlands of St. Kitts are clothed in dense forest. these woods abound with
Monkeys, mischievous and too cunning to be caught or shot. Often, I look out from my studio and see 3 or 4 monkeys waiting to leap into my fruit trees and gobble up all the fruit.
